I am sooooooo excited to be doing this post! I have been waiting for this for what seems like ages :) My very first Magnolia Down Under GDT card and the theme is *A Baby is Born*. I really agonised over what to make for this challenge...I really wanted my first GDT project to be just perfect. Of course I realise that I'm never going to think something I made is actually PERFECT, but I ended up settling for this little card and gift bag set, which I'm fairly happy with....LOL!
The Magnolia stamp is Tilda with Lilacs, stamped on Neenah Solar Crest with Memento ink & coloured with Copics (same as usual) and the rest of the card is SU! The CS is So Saffron, Certainly Celery and Pretty in Pink. The DSP is Pretty in Pink (from a RAK - we never got this in Australia). The brads are Saffron and Pink, the frame for the sentiment is Styled Silver Hodgepodge and the ribbon is from the now retired *Fairytale* ribbon originals. The flowers were punched with the retired *Spring Flower Bouquet* punch. The stamps are *Short and Sweet*.
The gift bag is the *Box in a Bag* from Stampin' with Di...you can find the tutorial to make it over on her sidebar. I used Certainly Celery DSP and Celery and Pretty in Pink CS. The ribbon is Pretty in Pink Taffeta and the buttons are Pink too. The flowers were made with the same punch as above. This is a really sweet little gift bag...and you can fit more in there than you'd think :) It would be perfect for some lotion and body wash (which I've done before) or some lovely chocolates.
I really hope that you'll play in the challenge this week...and as a special 1st GDT special deal I'm offering to send a stamped Magnolia image to anyone who wants to participate but doesn't have any Magnolias to play with. Just email me with your name and address, put Magnolia stamps in the subject line, and I will stamp a couple of images for you to try. However....I won't be held responsible for any ensuing addiction to Magnolia stamps :)
OK....seeing as I don't get to play in the challenge myself this week, I'm going to go do Kristina's Colour Inspiration for the week. Hope your Sunday is full of creativity and fun.

Hi Kristie, having fun this morning seeing what my fellow GDT players have done .... love your work, the colours are so good! Looking forward to more in the coming weeks.

Gorgeous, Gorgeous, Gorgeous! This just goes to show that you really don't need a baby Magnolia stamp to join in with the challenge. It's the perfect first DT work :)

What a gorgeous little gift and card idea! It was soo great of you to prove this challenge can be done without baby specific stamps - great work! And soo generous of you to offer stamped images - I like the "I take no responsibilty for any Magnolia addiction" bit - lol. Too late for some of us!!!
It's great to have you on board..

Love the way you have linked the card and box together.

This looks fabulously perfect to me! Love the colors you chose and the flower detail on the side...and the matching bag is gorgeous! {SMILES}
What a great little gift and card set. The colours are very apt for a little baby girl.

I received my first Magnolias from Bizzy Bec last week...the muffin and the horse. Gotta make time to play with them soon.
Have a great week,
Sam.
