Blog Candy

Hi there...told you I'd be back today with some lovely blog candy :) Unfortunately something weird is going on and I can't load pictures....aaaahhhhhh. I'll try again later or probably more likely tomorrow.

But I can tell you that there is some yummy stuff in this giveaway. Basic Grey 6x6 papers from Eva, Sugared and even some of my beloved Bittersweet....see how much I love you all ;) There is also primas and ribbon and a few random embellishments...even some rub-ons.

So, what do you have to do to win this awesome goodness???? Well, the thing is that I've been trying to come up with a fun name for my blog...calling it Kristie Morrison was only ever meant to be a temporary measure, until I could think of something else....but I have tried a few times and just can't do it. It probably comes from having written so many essays with boring titles...like *The role of female figures in Manichaean cosmogonical texts*....LOL!

So, to be in the running for the CANDY all you have to do is suggest a new name for my blog. The more names you give me, the more times you get an entry. The winner will be chosen randomly, but that might not be the name that I choose to use....is that making sense???? I just want it to be fair....so if you give me 3 suggestions, you get 3 entries in the random candy drawing. You will also get an extra entry if you include a creative reason why you picked that name. The person who suggests the name I pick for my new blog name will get a little something too (if they're not the winner of the big(ish) giveaway).

So put your thinking caps on.....the entries will close NEXT SATURDAY NIGHT and the winner announced on Sunday. Anyone, anywhere can enter. You can leave your suggestions in the comments or if you don't want people taking your brilliant ideas for themselves (LOL) you can send me an email.

Looking forward to seeing what you all come up with,
Kristie

Happy Birthday Abby

I did sit down and *force* myself to make a birthday card for Miss Abby last night....but it's not exactly spectacular!!!At least she's only 2 and probably doesn't care too much....lol! At least her purple loving daddy will like it for sure :) The flowers from Embrace Life were stamped onto polka dot Almost Amethyst DP, the Happy Birthday came from Happy Everything and is embossed in white, and the other colours in the card are Lavender Lace and Elegant Eggplant.

This time I deliberately made the card front shorter than the back, and lined the back with a large Amethyst polka dot. The ribbon is Eggplant and there's a little bitty purple rhinestone brad on the front flower. That's it, pretty simple....but it took forever and was really frustrating :) Oh well....things are bound to improve from here.

Hope you all come back tomorrow, because I'm going to be running a little competition to win some BLOG CANDY!!!! Yep...I've never given any away, so I thought this would be a good opportunity to clear out some of my excess DP, buttons, ribbon and such. If that sounds good to you come back and see me then....but there is a catch to it....but I'm not telling just yet!

See you tomorrow

Have you seen my creativity????

I seem to have misplaced it and now I just can't find it! Maybe it's just hard to be creative when you don't feel so great? Anyway, tonight I WILL stamp....I'm just going to force myself to do it, even if what I make comes out crap! Plus I almost forgot that it is my lovely niece Abby's birthday on Saturday and I still haven't made her a card! So that's first on the list...she won't get it til next week, but she's only 2 and I don't think she'll mind too much :)

My lovely landlady Anastasia took me shopping on Tuesday....I've needed a filing cabinet to store all my *work* articles (there are about 100 of them!) so that the ever growing piles didn't fall on top of me and wipe me out. Anastasia had seen one on the weekend when she was out...a two drawer cabinet for only $50!!!! So off we went to have a look and I picked that up....well not literally, cause it would have killed my back...but you know what I mean. It took 2 hours to put the stupid thing together and about another 4 hours to fill it up....now I remember why I stopped doing office work...I totally hate filing...LOL!

While we were out we decided to go to IKEA to have a look for some new curtains....I picked up some lovely bleached cotton tab top curtains for my room...they're brilliant! They let in heaps of light, but you can't see through them. They've made my room look much bigger and very light and airy....love them! Anyway, when you go to Ikea you cannot just buy one thing ;) I also picked up some lovely plants and white ceramic pots for them to go in....wanna see????

Now I will have flowers in my room all the time and hopefully they won't die and need replacing...LOL. I also picked up this mini chest of drawers (put it together myself too!).
It's really cute and will be awesome for storing away bits and pieces. When I saw it in the store I thought that the drawer fronts would look cute covered in DP....then I got home and measured it to find that it's about 3cm too wide!!! (just over 1"). So now I'm not sure what to do with it....any suggestions would be much appreciated :)

Finally, I thought I'd show you the finished alterations to the ribbon box. It's painted the same colour as the other altered things, the butterflies on top are from RW Laser Cuts, the big wooden flower is Kaiser, the pink flower is Prima and in the middle is one of the cute pink rhinestone brads that Madonna sent me. The little sparkly flowers all over are from Kaiser as well. You can't see very clearly, but the butterflies have tiny little pink rhinestones down the centre of their bodies too.
Well, this turned into a long post!!!! Better stop procrastinating and go make some cards...hopefully tomorrow I'll have something *crafty* to show you. I'd better or you all might stop coming by to see me ;)

No cards today...

Nope, not a card in sight! I have spent the weekend finishing up some UFO's that have been lurking around and making stuff look pretty. For example, this is my lazy susan that I use to keep all my essential bits and pieces on....you know the stuff I mean: pens, glue, tape, scissors...that sort of thing. I thought that I would attempt to pretty up the boring containers and make it nice to look at as well as practical. So, out came the DSP, the ribbon and boringness was transformed....Then there was the great, big letter K that had been hanging around my room in its plain white state for months. What it really needed was to be beautified with some BG Bittersweet paper....
Then there was the mini album bookshelf that I got a few weeks ago (yes there are mini books to go on it, but they will have to wait til I decided what should go in them!). I mixed up a concoction of paint so that it matched the mid-pink of the stipedy Bittersweet paper (12x12, so the stripes are bigger) and some painting and gluing produced this....

I had some pink paint left over, so I painted the *dream* wooden word that Madonna picked up for me at Spotlight ages ago....and what's a dream without some sparkle????
I also used the pink paint to make over the celery ribbon box that I've never been completely satisfied with...but you'll have to wait to see it as it's not completely done yet.

There you have it....a few little projects that I managed to finish off. I got some other stuff done too...I've *almost* finished the BG calender kit that I got at the beginning of February and sorted a whole bunch of photos to scrap, as well as all the boring *normal life* stuff, like laundry and cleaning. All in all it was a rather productive weekend....until I found a new blog that I'm in love with! It's not even a crafty blog....it's by a Portland designer called Melissa Michaels....The Inspired Room....and it's inspired me to make MY room a little more homey and comfy. It's been hard this last year going from having a two bedroom flat all of my own, to living in a share house and having to basically live in one room. So I've been de-cluttering, rearranging and *fluffing* to make my space a happier place to spend my time. It's already making me feel happier and more content :)

Hoping you are happy and content wherever you are,
Kristie

Love Them...

First up, I just want to apologise for being MIA this week. My back decided that it was going to be very naughty indeed and there has been little in the way of creativity here this past week...lots of naughty swear words, but no craftiness. I went to the doctor on Tuesday and finally gave in to her persuasion of upgrading my pain relief. I started on a transdermal pain relief patch...delivering the *good* stuff straight into my blood stream 24/7. Let me just say that the first couple of days were rough...I was high as a kite and my brain was NOT functioning at all. Today I seem to have adjusted to the meds and am starting to feel more like myself...only with less pain, so that's a plus. I'm having a couple of weeks off *work* (LOL) to try and get back to normal...as normal as I'll ever be anyway ;)

As I was feeling a bit better today, I FINALLY finished the luggage tag album that I started waaaayyyy back in November and thought you might like to see it....well, Madonna wanted to see it, so I guess you all have to....LOL!!!!

The list of ingredients for this project would be way to long (plus I might not remember them all!) so I'll just say that I used a Kaiser Luggage Tag Album, lots of Basic Grey Urban Prairie with matchy Bazzil textured CS (from a Lime Tart kit), Thickers, ribbons, Primas (of course), buttons, brads and bling. If you have any questions let me know, ok? The real stars of this album are Mad's gorgeous kids (oh yeah....Mama & Mad make an appearance too).

These are not all the pages....just a little snippet....I might post more if I get stuck for material some time...LOL!!! I'm loving the way it turned out...this BG paper is just divine and is a close favourite with the Bittersweet....but I don't think I've ever seen a BG paper I didn't like!

I'm off to have a play...I got some cool things a while back that I've been hanging to play with but haven't had the chance...so I better go while I'm feeling ok :)

Wishing you all a wonderful & creative weekend,
Kristie

Life is Beautiful....

Well, it is when you have yummy gifts & Basic Grey papers to play with.....

I made this card yesterday to use some of the lovely things my most wonderful sister sent to me last week...she is the best!!! There's some more pics of some of the goodies she sent me later in the post. The gorgeous pink ribbon, felt flower and red prima all came from the stuff she sent me {see, I actually listened to you Mad and I'm trying really hard not to hoard it all}. The card base is Regal Rose, the papers are BG, the flower gems are Kaiser, and the rub-ons come from SU's Eastern Elegance. Oh and the button is SU Pretty in Pink.

Now, you will notice in this next pic that there is a cool scalloped edge on the back of the card....this is a Save Yourself From Yourself moment, a la Leslie! Having a momentary Blonde Moment I scored the CS in the wrong place and instead of just throwing it in the scrap pile to be cut up, I thought that I would just scallop the back edge and use it anyway!!!!
I think it looks kinda cute...so I've got it in an envie ready to post out to my lovely Mama today :)

As I mentioned earlier, Mad sent me a delicious parcel of goodness last week, including this stunning card:
A whole bunch of lovely pink & purple goodies (there was more ribbon & some bits of cute chipboard too, but I forgot to put it in the picture), all packaged up in a cool Christmas tin that I shall be altering some time in the NEAR future :)
Do you see that cute felt birdie....I am SO going to hoard that until I find the perfect project deserving of it's adorableness!!!! But best of all, there was this uber cute birdie paper.....
I don't know where she got that....shall have to find out....I do believe I need more of it....MUCH, MUCH MORE!!!!!

So there you have it....I have the bestest sister in the whole world. With everything she has on her plate right now she took the time to buy/find all this Kristie-ish goodness and send it to me....she is the most wonderful and generous person and I am completely blessed to have her as MY sister :)

Ok, better go do some work....have a great Monday,
Kristie

Going digi...

Like so many people I've had Photoshop on my computer for ages, but had absolutely no idea what I was doing with it. So, I finally took the plunge and enrolled in Jessica Sprague's Up & Running with Photoshop course. Let me tell you know, that was some of the best money I ever spent...she makes it soooooooo easy! All that incomprehensible terminology about layers and brushes and actions actually starts to mean something. AND you get heaps of really cool downloads with your course so that you can start making cool digi layouts.

Now that I've finished the course, I can't wait to get into the next one and learn the really cool and tricky stuff! Anyway, I thought that I'd share my final assignment with you all. I used a photo that Madonna took of our brother Shaun at his wedding last weekend and all of the other stuff (papers & elements) come from the course downloads.

But don't worry, I won't be giving up my REAL paper supplies any time soon. Digi is fun but it's not as much fun as getting inky fingers with the real stuff. I have been making some cards for a card drive that's been organised by one of my SU friends. We're making thankyou cards for the volunteers who helped in the fires in Victoria...both the firefighters and others who so generously gave of themselves to help others. I have a whole stack made, but it's been raining here for days and I can't get a decent picture! I guess that's one thing you don't have to worry about with digital creations!!!!!

So, let me know what you think of the digi LO and if you have any helpful tips or tricks to share...go for it! I need all the help I can get.

Hope you have a great weekend and a sweet Valentine's day

Mad's Anniversay card

Last week was my sister's (and BIL) wedding anniversary...they've been married for 13 years!!!! So I wanted to make them a card to celebrate.I used Jen's sketch from 2 weeks ago (I think....she's changed her blog and now I can't find it!!). I started with a Vanilla card base, layered on some stripedy *Bittersweet* BG paper and some of the solid colour as well. I used the *Priceless* stamp set for the circle elements, stamped in Rose Red on Pretty in Pink and layered onto some Choc Chip scalloped circles. The sentiment is from *Wonderful Words* and stamped in Chocolate onto Rose Red CS. The ribbon is Choc Chip taffeta.

I liked the finished card, and Mad said she did too....well she said she liked the stripedy paper anyway.

Not much else to say today....my back is being naughty, so I'm going to take some more meds, rub in some smelly liniment and go back to bed.

Hope you're all having a good day,
Kristie

Truckloads of Love

So, here's the final Valentine that I made for my nephew Tom. Like I said yesterday, it was hard to come up with something that wasn't too girly...so I used the ute/truck from *Loads of Love* for Tommy's card.The ute with it's load of hearts was stamped onto watercolour paper and coloured with SU's watercolour pencils and a blender pen. Oh...and I *meant* to stamp it crooked like that....all those hearts are weighing down the back, so that's why it's tilted....LOL!!!! {How's that for a good excuse Leslie???}

I mounted it on some Real Red and then some spotty Turquoise paper from *Petals & Paisleys*. The base card is Tempting Turquoise. I used the scallop punch on the Red layer and some Turquoise ribbon. The sentiment was stamped in black on Real Red and punched with the 1 1/4" circle and then mounted onto a Turquoise circle (1 3/8") and then a white scalloped circle. That's it...pretty simple, but suitable for a boy I think :)

I also wanted to tell you that when I was chatting with Nicole today she told me that she's going to be making a call for a Design Team for her new range of stamps that I was telling you about within the next few weeks! If you love to colour, match & layer DP, can think outside the box and have a blog then you could be just what she's looking for. I'll let you all know when she makes the announcement...I'm going to apply for sure! It's one of my goals for this year to get on a DT & to get my work published....a bit scary, but it could be fun!

Hope you're all having a great day,
Kristie

{Sweet} Heart

Here's the last of the girls' Valentines...this one's for Miss Katelin {she doesn't mind a bit of glitter}...I covered the negative of a chipboard heart with the new chunky pink glitter (SU!) and layered it onto some of my beloved *Bittersweet* papers. The card base is Rose Red, the sentiment is stamped in Regal Rose on some Pretty in Pink and the ribbon is the wide Regal Rose grosgrain. The buttons are Safrass Lass.

Only one more to go....do you know how hard it is to come up with a Valentine's card for an almost 5 yr old boy???? I'm pretty sure Tommy wouldn't go much on the pink and glitter....LOL!!! But you'll have to come back tomorrow to see what I made :)

OH....as for the random changes in the look of the blog....I had a couple of comments that the cute birdies I'd switched to were a bit overwhelming, so I've temporarily gone back to a plain template until I can work out what I want to do....any ideas would be much appreciated :)

Hope your Monday isn't/wasn't too terrible,
Kristie

Midnight Madness #6

This is the second installment in the Valentine's series...but as I like to multi-task this one is also doubling up for Paula's 6th Midnight Madness challenge. ETA: I'm also going to enter this one into the Caardvarks challenge for the month....at the urging of the lovely Miss June....hope that's ok 'Varks??????So, Paula said that we could use this cutie pie kitty as inspiration for a mixed pattern or quilt style card and that gave me a great idea:
What do you think? This one is going to my gorgeous niece Alexandra....hopefully she won't try to eat this one!!!!

I've used Pretty in Pink for the card base, Rose Red for the next layer and the punched hearts & Regal Rose for the plain squares. The patterned squares (punched with the 1 1/4" square) are from the Basic Grey *Bittersweet* 6x6 pad....my new love! These papers are just gorgeous!!!!! The sentiment is from *Short & Sweet* and stamped in Rose Red on some more of the Bittersweet paper, then punched out with the Designer Label punch and popped into a Styled Silver Hodgepodge frame. The ribbon is Rose Red double stitched from the Summer mini. The silver heart brads came from my stash and I have no idea who makes them!!!

Ok, that's it for today...see you tomorrow with another Valentine :)

Glittery Mojo

This week's Mojo Monday sketch is fabulous....lots of lovely layers to play with. Also, it's competition week, so there's a chance to win a prize!!! Anyway, here's my take on the sketch:

How gorgeous is that little sleeping fairy??? She came in this month's Lime Tart and I just adore her (she's from Odd Bird Planet). I thought she's be perfect for a Valentine's card for my adorable niece Lara. And no, I haven't forgotten the other kids...I'm working on some cards for them right now and will show you over the next few days or so.

The MME striped paper is all glittery, so I added some glitter to the fairy wings and some gems on the scalloped edge...just to continue the bling thing! Here's a close up of the paper, so you can see how pretty and glittery it is IRL:
Nice huh????? The sky blue CS is textured too, which adds a bit more dimension. I've also used Very Vanilla, Pretty in Pink & Rose Red CS. There's some Vanilla taffeta ribbon & lots of yummy Prima flowers. The *with love* sentiment comes from one of the Sale-A-Bration sets ....*Yummy*.

It is sooooo hot here today (41C outside...that's 106F!!!!) but here in my room it's a balmy 33C (91F)! It's almost too hot to think :) I'm going to go lie down in front of the air cooler and read for a bit...maybe even take a nana nap!!!!

Hope you're having a great weekend,
Kristie

I'm SO organised now!

It took ALL day yesterday, but I'm finally properly organised in my new room. It is so awesome (for a neat freak like me) to have a place for everything....and that it actually looks pretty good is a bonus.

So, as promised, here's some photos.

This first pic is the very large bookcase that I got when I moved into this room a few weeks ago. Until yesterday it was jammed with so much stuff that I couldn't find where anything was! Now it's nice and organised....the top 2 shelves hold paint, random stamps, and bits and pieces that don't really fit anywhere else. The next two shelves are stamps. This bookcase is 91cm wide...that's almost 2 metres of stamps!!!! The next shelf holds all my punches (yes there are alot of them!) and wheels and the bottom shelf is all of my crafting magazines.
Here's my desk...ink caddy, embellishment caddy, paper trimmer, Copics, and adhesives etc...you know, all that stuff you use ALL the time :) Oh yeah, and that pile you can see on the left side of the desk is my half finished Basic Grey Calender kit...yes I know it's Feb already but I waited and got it half price!!! I plan to finish this weekend and show you next week.
This is the 6 cube shelf that I got yesterday....how cute are those pink boxes??? They match my bed sheets perfectly....LOL. In the far left one is rub-ons, Thickers and various alpha chipboard & stickers. The middle box has embellishments....all my Hodgepodge Hardware, Pretties and a whole bunch of random embellishing type things. The box on the right, closest to my desk is SU! card stock organised by colour. On the bottom row are all my packages of DSP and chipboard shapes. The non-SU! stuff in the bottom left cube still needs to be a bit better organised....but I need some 12x12 paper trays...next on the shopping list :)
This is the big 12 cube shelf and in it I've organised everything by type....I've got all my flowers, embossing stuff, envelopes, ribbons, glitter, things to alter, colouring mediums tools and extra cardstock all sorted into these cubes. On top are coils for the bind-it-all and the box and basket are full of cards....might have to start posting out some RAK's.
It makes me so happy to look at it now and know that it will be super easy to find what I'm looking for.

Finally, I thought I'd show you something crafty!!!! I worked on this layout for days....I just couldn't get it to the point where I was happy with it. But earlier this week it finally came together. While I don't think it's perfect, I am pretty happy with it. The photo was taken on Lara's christening day, when we all went up to the hospital to see Gran. She just couldn't take her eyes off the adorable Miss Lara...are really, who could blame her? Lara looked incredibly gorgeous in that dress.

I think I had such a hard time with the L/O because every time I looked at the photo I got really emotional....the last time I'd get a picture of 4 generations of the women of my family :( So, here's all the girlies that I love:
OK, better go put some ice in the air cooler....it's currently 34 C here (93F) and that's inside with the cooler going!!!!! This weekend is shaping up to be a scorcher....the headlines in today's paper said that NSW is going to be the hottest place on the planet this Sunday!!! So I'm planning a nice relaxing weekend, hopefully getting creative in my new space.

Hope you all have a fabulous weekend,
Kristie

More awards!!!!

I'm feeling pretty loved right now....my delightful PSF Kirsty gave me these two awards yesterday! I am so flattered because Miss Kirsty is SERIOUSLY talented and I am constantly in awe of the amazing things that she creates....and the fact that she has time to do it with 4 kids to take care of!!!!! If you've never seen her work I thoroughly recommend checking it out!

This first award is the Marie Antoinette award. This one came with rules and they are- Link the one who awarded it to you (see above), post the award and nominate 7 people who deserve it. Seven people huh????

1. Madonna
2. Lauren
3. June
4. Leslie
5. Lydia
6. Sam
7. Cass

There you go...I followed the rules again!!!!! Maybe I'm becoming more conformist in my old age :)

For this one I'm supposed to nominate 5 bloggers...I can't choose another 5 people so I'm giving it to all of the ladies on the above list....'cause their blogs are fabulous :)
The other thing I'm supposed to do is tell you five things I'm addicted to....only 5????? So, in no particular order:
1. CHOCOLATE....any kind really, but I love Fruit and Nut and Ferrero Rocher...mmmmmm.
2. Craft supplies....patterned paper, stamps, Prima flowers....I could make a list of five just from this category :)
3. Supernatural.....love that show and hang out for it every week!
4. Reading....can't live without good books (they go really well with the chocolate...hehehehe)
5. Coffee....I believe I've said this before, but without coffee I'd be nasty, mean and grumpy all the time!

OK, that's it for now....better go do some work, because tomorrow I am getting some new cube shelves from Target (they are having an amazing sale!) and I'm taking the day off to re-organise my supplies (I might be addicted to that as well). After it's all done I will share pics. While this room is much bigger than my old one, it's not as well organised yet and the mess is driving me crazy. I'll be much happier once I have a proper place for everything, instead of the jumbled disaster that it is right now.

Happy Wednesday
Kristie

Photo Tag

The lovely Paula tagged me for the Photo tag that's been doing the rounds....you know the one where you go to the 6th folder and show the 6th photo and talk about it. So, lucky for you guys it's a pretty cute pic! This is my adorable niece, Abby, taken in my room at Mama's house after she'd put on all of Aunty Kristie's jewlery. This is the day when I taught her to say *Bling is good*....LOL! She was soooo cute, going around telling everyone *Abby's lovely*. And how about that hair???? Isn't it the most gorgeous hair ever? She's going to be turning 2 later this month...which reminds me I'd better get working on a card and present for her :)

My doctor is finally back from her holidays, so I'm off to get poked with lots of needles!

Hope you have a wonderful day,
Kristie

Just Because

This one's another Elite Challenges card, to use Eastern Blooms (which is pretty easy to do!):I love the colours in this one, but then Eastern Blooms just looks great in any colour!

Supplies:
CS: Old Olive, Chocolate Chip, Whisper White
Ink: Old Olive
Stamps: Eastern Blooms
Other: Felt Fusion flowers, Choc Chip 1" double stitched ribbon, Old Olive button, Bali Breeze DSP

I'm sure I've said it a few times already, but I will say it again....one of the best things about blogging is making new friends!!!! Today I did just that...I have a brand new Pretend Stamping Friend...YAY! But, she is no ORDINARY stamper!!! Her name is Nicole and she is following her dream to start her own stamp company...I know, pretty exciting huh????? If you click on her name you can go to her blog and see previews of two of her new stamps coming out later this month. And NO, she's not paying me to say this....LOL!!! These little girl stamps are too cute for words and I, for one, can't wait to get me some. I first saw one of her stamps on the fabulous Holly's blog (man that girl can colour!!!!!) and I just loved it. If you like Magnolia or Sarah Kay then you are going to adore these little girls. I NEVER promote anything other than SU! on here, but I just had to tell you about this, mostly because Nicole is SUCH a sweetie and is just so excited about her dream about to come true....and who wouldn't be????

I got a great big box of SU! goodness today....all of the new SAB sets....YUM!!!! So this afternoon when I'm finished work (on a coffee break now) I'm going to mount them up and make something new....as long as I can find some MOJO....LOL!!!! I'm thinking that I might start with some sketch and colour challenges to kick me off in the right direction. My crazy sister has challenged me to make a card using Elegant Eggplant, Wild Wasabi, River Rock, Sage Shadow and PUMPKIN PIE!!!!! Sounds nuts, but the card she made was really cute (Eastern Blooms meets stranger's dress), so I'm going to give it a try :) Wish me luck!!!

Have a great day,
Kristie

Sparkly Seahorse

Here's another card that I cased from the Summer mini, p. 15, using the lovely Ocean Commotion. I changed up the colours from the one in the mini, but other than that it's pretty similar :)Supplies:
CS: Soft Sky, Blue Bayou, Wild Wasabi, Whisper White
Ink: VersaMark, Groovy Guava
Stamps: Ocean Commotion
Other: Groovy Guava Double Stitched ribbon, Blue chunky glitter (YUM), Hidden Garden rub-ons (sentiment).

I am soooo insanely tired today....I stayed up til 2AM last night to finish reading Stieg Larsson's *The Girl With The Dragon Tattoo*. OH MY....this book was amazingly good. You know how people say that they couldn't put it down....this was literally the case with this one. I was walking around with it in my hand all day long....even had it propped up on the kitchen bench while I made something to eat. If you like a good *murder mystery* then go get this one...you won't regret it. So thanks very much Miss Lauren for recommending this one. Can't wait to read the next one now....I see another trip to Borders in my future :)

Now I'm off to have a nice little nana nap.....
