No snappy title today…

Yep, it’s Monday and even though it’s a holiday here in Queensland, not to mention the fact that I’m on a 6 month *holiday*, my poor tired brain can’t produce a single witty title to save my life :( I have been a bit creative today though! I made a card for Mama for mother’s day to replace the *lost* one from yesterday…I’m very, very happy with the way it turned out and I’ll share that later in the week.

Today I have a boy’s birthday card to show you. I don’t actually have any boy’s birthdays coming up, but I’m working on creating a stockpile of things to sell in the Etsy shop and the local craft shop as soon as I get sorted out. So when I sit down to make things at the moment I’m trying to do stuff that I think will sell…who knows if they will though????

This little cutie is from Magnolia, though I don’t know what he’s called as he’s one of the one’s I got Kellie to stamp onto watercolour paper for me. I coloured him with SU! Markers and an aquapainter.

I’ve used Close to Cocoa, Not Quite Navy and Ruby Red CS and Red buttons. The edges have all been distressed to give it a more masculine look (buttons are ok for a boy card, right? I did refrain from using ribbon!) It’s pretty plain and simple, but I don’t want to put too much time into the ones that are going up for sale, otherwise the price would be ridiculous and this one only took about 20 mins.

Anyway, it’s getting late and I think it’s time for me to get to bed. I don’t know what happens to the day when I’m not really doing anything…I just potter around and before I know it the day is over! I hope you’ve all had a great Monday (or is that an anachronism?).

Hey Kristie! Sounds like you're getting back on track - whoo hoo!

This card is a fabulous "boy" card. The colors are wonderful and I just love the distressing!

Lauren is the Queen of snappy titles, but how about "cute as a button or three"? You used three buttons :) He is precious. I think I am addicted to those Magnolia stamps now...LOL!
