...Secret Santa that is! Recently we participated in a Secret Santa swap with the girls from Alisa Tilsner's team. It was so much fun to get a person to buy for and to choose items from their wish list, make a card and package it up and send it off. This is a picture of the card and parcel that I sent to my SS recipient, pretty isn't it?And this is the loot that I received in my parcel...I was very, very excited! This is probably not the best picture, but I got a beautiful card, a Colour Spritzer (that's the black thingy for those who were wondering), some Rich Regals brads, some 6x6 DSP and in that cute little bag at the back was an assortment of buttons, twill ribbon, rhinestone brads and photo corners. There WAS also some chocolate...it's not in the picture because most of it is already gone....mmmm hazelnuts!!!OK then, enough about Santa. This is a card that I made over the weekend. I made it for 2 reasons...because I wanted to use some of the cute goodies in the Collage Kit that the wonderful Miss June sent me and I wanted to make a card with Kraft cardstock (something I hadn't done before). I thought that the Kraft went very nicely with the pale lemon ribbon and roses from the collage kit, so I went with So Saffron and Mellow Moss for accents. The gold heart charm, ribbon and cream and lemon roses are from the kit, the stamped heart is from Always and embossed in gold to match the charm. The background is stamped in gold ink with the little hearts from Sprinkles and the 'Everything' sentiment from Always is stamped in Mellow Moss.
I'm not entirely sure what I'll ever use this for but I think it's rather pretty anyway!
Right then, it's almost time for the swimming to start...it's the only sport of the Olympics that I watch seriously, though I don't mind gymnastics and equestrian events, the rest of it is kinda take it or leave it for me. Oh, except I quite enjoy watching the rowers....all those yummy muscles....LOL!
Have a great day,
Kristie
