Kristina's inspiration photo for this week came from a children's boutique, with gorgeous little dresses in shades of pink and brown. As soon as I saw this photo I knew what I wanted to use to make my card....*But I need it...* by Hanna Stamps. This is what I came up with:
As you can see from the photo, I also decorated the envelope...and the inside of the card:
The gorgeous shopping Hanna was partly coloured with Copic markers and partly paper pieced using the beautiful *Berry Bliss* papers from SU...except for the handbag on the top right, which was done with a little scrap of Basic Grey *sugared*. I lined the inside of the card & the envelope with the same pink and white polka dot paper as I pieced Hannah's dress with. I also stamped some of the accessories onto different papers and cut them out as embellishments for the front of the card, and then stamped them in Pretty in Pink on the inside.
I had heaps of fun making this one....though all that cutting out and piecing together was a little time consuming :) I think it was worth it in the end though...it all matches beautifully!
I just wanted to remind you all that the Blog Candy giveaway ends tomorrow (Saturday)....so if you haven't entered yet you better put your thinking caps on and come up with a new blog name for me. I've had some awesome suggestions and there's one that's a hot favourite already! So, why don't you see if you can get me to change my mind? You can see the Candy post here.
I'll see you all tomorrow with another Magnolia challenge...this time an ATC!

Lovely! Love the stamp you chose and the coloring and all that CUTTING. Sometimes, it's just gotta be done.
I (shockingly) do not own any Hanna stamps, though I did check them out when the first set was released, you know, for the sheer coinkidink of the name. ;-)
This looks gorgeous, love the inside too.
I LOVE THIS STAMP!!!! BEAUTIFUL CARD!!
Oh, yeah. All the paper piecing had to be done. This card is AWESOME!!! You are wonderful, Kristie :)
Cute Hannah with lots of fun colors.
It's a good life!

Lovely card Kristie! You have done a fabulous job of the paper piecing.
Best wishes,
Sam.
ooooooooooooh i am SO DIGGIN' the details on this: the paperpiecing is *magnificent*! (i soooo hear ya on how FUSSY that is...especially those little purses, etc--but TOTALLY worth it!!!) also the INSIDE bits being lighter stamping around a blank field in which to write is VERY CLEVER...and thus i shall be stealin' that forthwith! ♥♥♥
This is such a cute card! Love this stamp set!
