Hello there! I’m here at Mama’s house, safe and sound, as are all my belongings. Though they are mostly packed away in the garage and I’m finding that perhaps I am not the world’s best packer! I really should have thought more carefully about what I would actually need for my stay here and packed that stuff all separately and properly labelled….ah well, we live and learn, don’t we?
I haven’t really had the chance to do much creating yet, but I did whip up a little clean and simple card with my new 5th Avenue Floral and the new in-colours. 5th Avenue is brilliant for making nice simple cards with a big impact…there’s not much to this one, but I think it’s pretty :)
I’ve stamped the various flowers from the set in Riding Hood Red, Kiwi Kiss and Pink Pirouette and the sentiment in Red onto some Very Vanilla with a scalloped bottom edge. I tied on some of the new Riding Hood Red taffeta ribbon with the Vanilla edge (absolutely delicious!) and mounted it onto a Riding Hood Red base. That’s it, but IRL it’s lovely :)
It is so nice to be home, though it was rather chilly here this morning, something I’m not used to after living in Sydney for a year…but totally worth it for the slow pace of life here and the clean country air…it’s really made me realise just how bad Sydney smelled!!!
Tomorrow I will be back to show you something awesome my Mama made with one of the new catty sets that is exclusive to Australia and New Zealand…gorgeous native flowers.
Hope you’re all having a fabulous day,

glad to hear you arrived safely, and back crafting already
Welcome back to sunny Queensland. We're practically nieghbours now. I thought someone as organized as you would have packing well and truely under control, LOL. Nice card too, BTW.
Welcome to the sunshine state - not necessarily warm at the moment, though. I love the card - have just ordered this stamp set myself.
You sound very happy to be home...glad to hear it! I love this card! Very, very elegant and that ribbon really is delicious.
Looking forward to seeing what your mamma made.
Paula :)
Oh, yes, very pretty card indeed! I love the inks you chose, and you know I love scallops, and ribbon, and anything Kristie :)
Lovely, as usual! Don't you ADORE this set?!?! It was really a hit at my last workshop, and I even sold some! I tell you, that set is a winner!
As others have said, you sound settled and happy in your new location. What fun to stamp with your Mom! Do share her creations with us!
So glad to hear you arrived safe & sound. I'll just bet Mom is glad you're back.
Lovely card. One of my favorite stamps! Can't wait to see what you do with the "native" stamps!
Hugs,
Great card!! June mentioned on my blog that you were also in the second round for Inky Impressions so I had to pop over and take a look! You have a great blog and I wish you lots of good luck!!
Hope you feel better soon - and get settled in quickly back at home!
Best,
Cassie
