Hi all, sorry I didn’t get back here as promised. There’s something about being here at Mama’s house that makes me feel like I’m seriously on holidays and I just potter around and loose track of the days. Not a very good excuse I’m afraid, but it will have to do!
So, here’s the promised project made by Mama with the *Down Under* set “Bloom Away”. It has 3 lovely native flower images that are just gorgeous and it’s in my plans to have a play with it myself real soon. Anyway, here it is:
She stamped them onto watercolour paper and coloured them with an aqua painter and ink from the lids of the ink pads. She then mounted it onto some Certainly Celery DSP and then popped it into this nice plain black frame….doesn’t it look lovely??? It’s in the kitchen sitting on the very old and beautiful dresser that belonged to her grandmother and which will one day be MINE!!!! LOL.
Anyway, I’ve really been enjoying being home and away from Sydney. A trip downtown yesterday to do some shopping really reinforced the difference between here and Sydney. The bus driver remembers me from when I lived here before and had a nice chat with me. All the shop assistants are friendly and on the bus on the way home there was a group of ladies all chatting away with one another and there was one that I knew who caught me up on some ex-boyfriend gossip of enormous proportion. Things like that just don’t happen in the big city!!!!
OK, I better go do some more nothing….I tidied Mama’s craft area yesterday, so now I know where everything is and have a bit more room to spread out I might even make something!

Which only goes to show.... there's no place like home!
Enjoy yourself.
Go, Mama!!! Her images are beautiful.
I sounds as if you are having a marvelous time in your old stomping grounds. And cleaning up your Mum's room was probably fun and therapeutic too.
Wow! I love your Mom's card! So pretty!
It sounds like being home is VERY relaxing. I am so jealous! My dream was to some day live in a small town for all the reasons you mentioned. Now I might RETIRE to a small town ... LOL!
It is absolutely beautiful Kristie. Obviously, the talent for craft must run in the family.
now see: i have this theory "MORRISON" must be an ancient coptic word meaning, "talented beyond all comprehension" b/c it does seem to me that EVERY GENERATION of your family has creativity just DRIPPING off them! wow!!!
