Kristina's CI #48

I was so excited this morning to find my first order from the new catalogue sitting on the front patio. As the SU site said my order had shipped on Friday, I spent the whole day yesterday waiting for it, checking every half hour to no avail. I was thrilled that it was there when I went out to open the front door at 9.30am this morning....but I don't know what's up with the Australia Post delivery guy....I don't think he knows how to use a door bell!!!!! Anyway, I was waiting so anxiously for the order so I could play along with Kristina's challenge this week...it's got two of the new in-colours in it and I didn't want to use substitutes:

Such a cute photo huh? I wanted to use my new, and totally adorable, *Trendy Trees* stamp set for this one...I thought the Kiwi and Chocolate would make great trees:

I stamped the trees with the help of the stamp-a-ma-jig...a must have for this set...onto Whisper White and matted that onto Baja Breeze (that is such a pretty colour!). I stamped the sentiment in Choc Chip ink onto Baja and punched it out with the Word Window punch....a perfect fit. I matted it onto a large Kiwi oval and then a Choc Chip scalloped circle. The only new in-colour ribbon I ordered was Pink Pirouette, so I used some yummy Choc chip satin and popped the sentiment onto it with Dimensionals. The Kiwi buttons are from the Button Bouquet. Some really cute buttons in that pack...I think I will be using them alot!!!! I also think that Kiwi Kiss is my new favourite green! Sorry Old Olive, but you've been replaced!

So, a very simple, but cute thank you card! I needed one anyway, so this challenge worked out well for me :) I can't wait to have a play with the rest of my new goodies tonight. I will probably end up staying up late and making a whole bunch of stuff....new toys always inspire me like that :)

OK, better go finish getting ready for my doctor's appointment...lovely acupuncture today!!!!

Have a great day,

Signature

How sweet! I have this set but I have not used the tree. The sentiment I've used many times. I need to go ink my trees up! I love how yours turned out.

Ah, I see you are already hooked on these colors. ;-) Man, I loooove Baja Breeze!

As for that acupuncture thing, a friend of mine goes now and then and she really likes it. Well, she says it seems to help her...I'm not so sure about the 'like' part.

Everytime I hear a truck I run to the front door to see if goodies have arrived. Funny what we wait for isn't it???

This is a beautiful card. You worked those colors fabulously!
