Ribbon, ribbon everywhere.....

How gorgeous is all of this ribbon!!!! A few weeks back my lovely sister and upline Madonna organised a ribbon share, so I am now the proud owner of at least 1 metre of every kind and colour of SU ribbon (except the 'Ribbon Originals' packs - but they're on the list). I forgot to add the double stitched in-colour ribbons that I 'had' to buy to share with my Mum for her Mother's day pressie, but you can see them a few posts down....
Anyway, once I got all of this delicious ribbon my dilemma was... how to store it? I live in a share house, so everything is all in one room - it's my bedroom, study and craft room all in one, so it's essential to be organised or I'd never find anything! It is a big room though...lucky for me cause I have waaaaay too much stuff!
So the solution was to get a couple of these cool Kaiser ribbon storage boxes. They come plain so you can decorate them however you like:
So.... I got out my acrylic paints and concocted this awesome purple colour...I think I might call it Kristie purple (LOL). I then stuck the box together with some Crystal Effects...Mad tells me that anything stuck down with CE is NEVER moving again! Then I had fun decorating the top. I used some of the SU 'Cherished Memories' rub-ons for the corner bits...don't they look cute? Then I stuck on some primas held together with silver brads and ran a piece of Elegant Eggplant grosgrain across the top.

This was such a fun project to do and I've still got another one to complete later this week after I've done this presentation and an assignment (yuck!). I'm not sure what colour to do the other one. Purple is my favourite colour, but I don't want them to be the same....that's just boring!

Any suggestions????

Now I just have to decide which of the lucky ribbons gets to go in this fab purple box.... the others will be so disappointed if I can't come up with something cool for the other one.....

Have a great day

Kristie

How very clever Kristie!!! Your box looks AMAZING! If I were you I'd either make the other one a lighter shade of purple so it coordinates or maybe a green like always artichoke just because I think green and purple go so well together. Just my opinion...I can't wait to see what you come up with! {SMILES}

that box is *sooooooo* unbelievably FAB!!! you did a completely magnificent job there, girl!

as for the other box...yeah, best make one that's eqully nice...you don't want the "less fortunate" ribbons to feel slighted and tie themselves...and any nearby pets...into tangled up knots!

(ps: i was going to say leaf green or pale purple...but nikki beat me to it...) :)
